I was not able to download the free U2 Songs Of Innocence album even though it said Purchased on the Album page in iTunes, it didn’t show in the Purchased section and was not showing the iCloud icon in the corner of the album art.
If you are having the same problem then follow this trick to download it – Open iTunes, click on the Store menu and choose Home (or press Command-Shift-H). Click on the black U2 banner that is rotating at the top or search for U2 “Songs Of Innocence” album and go to it’s promo page. So the trick is to refresh the page by pressing Command-R or clicking on the album art. As the page is loading, the button will very briefly be enabled and show as “Free”. If you can click on the Free button before it changes, iTunes will see it as any other free download and add it to the download queue. You have about 1/4 of a second to click the button so you will have to be quick. Enjoy the album !! Do comment if you face any issue. Like and share if it worked.
